We manufacture silicone cords of circular cross-section via continuous extrusion. This geometry, technically known as round profile or continuous O-ring cord, is the most versatile solution for industrial sealing.
Our range spans from fine silicone thread (1 mm) to thick silicone rope for gate sealing, available in two versions:
Solid Cord (Compact): For high-pressure gaskets and elastic recovery.
Sponge Cord (Cellular): For soft sealing on irregular surfaces.

Solid Silicone Cords
High-precision extruded solid VMQ silicone cords. Hardness 10-90 Shore A. Compliance with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, EC 1935/2004, UL94, EN 45545-2, USP VI, and ISO 10993. Continuous manufacturing in reels or custom-cut lengths under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
Sponge Silicone Cords
Extruded sponge silicone cords with a closed-cell structure. Low density, high compressibility, and elastic recovery. Compliance with FDA, EC 1935/2004, EN 45545-2, UL94, USP VI, and ISO 10993. Production under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
When to choose Solid Cord vs. Sponge Cord?
The choice depends on assembly conditions and available "clamping force". Solid Cord (Compact): Behaves as an incompressible solid. Requires a strong housing groove and mechanical pressure. Main use: Standard O-ring replacement, hydraulics, IP68 sealing. Sponge Cord (Cellular): Air cells allow volume reduction. Seals with very little pressure and absorbs surface irregularities. Main use: Hinged doors, electrical enclosures, watertight lighting.
Bespoke O-Ring Fabrication (Vulcanised Joints)
Extruded O-ring cord is the base for manufacturing gaskets of any dimension. In our workshop, we perform: Precision cutting to length. Hot Vulcanisation (Butt-jointing): We join the cord ends to create a closed loop without mechanical discontinuity, maintaining the material's strength. This solution avoids tooling costs for short runs or large diameters (>500mm).
Tolerances and dimensional precision
Solid cord: Manufactured to ISO 3302-1 Class E1 (High precision). Cut lengths Class L2. Sponge cord: Manufactured to ISO 3302-1 Class E3 (Sponge standard). Presentation: In continuous coils, cut to length, or vulcanised into rings. Thermal ranges and Materials: Standard (VMQ): -60°C to +200°C. Low Temperature (PVMQ): Down to -110°C (Cryogenic). High Temperature (THT): Up to +300°C (Ovens). Fluorosilicone (FVMQ): Oil and solvent resistance. Certifications: Food Grade: FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, BfR XV, EC 1935/2004. Medical: USP Class VI, ISO 10993. Railway: EN 45545-2 (Specific series in solid and sponge).
