Process fundamentals

Automotive silicone hoses replace conventional EPDM rubber ducting in vehicle fluid systems. They absorb engine vibration, accommodate misalignment between components and maintain sealing integrity under repeated thermal and pressure cycling. The multi-layer construction combines inner silicone linings with aramid (Nomex) or polyester textile reinforcement plies that provide pressure resistance and dimensional stability.

Materials and formulations

Available in standard VMQ silicone, high tear strength, high temperature or FVMQ fluorosilicone grades. Hardness range 30 to 85 Shore A. Application-specific formulations for coolant, compressed air, oil or steam service. Operating temperature range -60°C to +300°C depending on compound selection.

Configuration options

Straight hoses, elbows (45°, 90°, 135°, 180°), straight and angled reducers, T/Y branches, flexible hoses with helical wire reinforcement and blanking caps. Internal diameters from 6 to 150 mm. Tolerances to ISO 3302-1: extruded E1, moulded M2. Standard black finish or custom RAL colours. Matt or gloss surface texture.

Production environment

Manufactured in an industrial environment with quality control to ISO 9001. Full batch traceability and dimensional validation. Dedicated tooling for complex geometries.
