Series 17 – Short-term implantable platinum silicone (< 29 days)
High purity medical compound for temporary implants and invasive devices
Series 17 is a platinum-cured silicone mixture, specifically designed for medical applications requiring short-term implantation (less than 29 days according to NUSIL data). It is processable by extrusion and moulding. Its high purity and biocompatibility formulation make it ideal for catheters, drains, radiopaque lined tubes, and other temporary invasive medical devices.
