Silicone Compression Molded Parts
VMQ silicone compression molding. Manufacturing of large or complex parts, functional prototypes, and short runs. Hardness 20–90 Shore A. Industrial or certified ISO 8 cleanroom production. Compliance with FDA, EC 1935/2004, EN 45545-2, UL94, USP VI, ISO 10993.
Process Principle
Compression molding uses a silicone preform placed directly into the mold cavity. Heat and pressure achieve the complete vulcanization of the material, enabling the manufacture of large parts, complex geometries, and low volumes with excellent dimensional stability.
Materials and Formulations
Solid or cellular VMQ silicones are used, with hardnesses between 20 and 90 Shore A. Available food-grade, medical-grade, fire-retardant, antistatic, and high-temperature formulations. Platinum cure for medical/food environments or peroxide cure for industrial applications.
Dimensions and Finishes
Ideal for large parts, high thicknesses, and medium tolerances. Compliant with standard ISO 3302-1 M2/F. Finishes in standard colors (translucent, white, black, grey, red) or custom RAL colors. Option for texturing or technical finish according to drawing.
Production Environments
Manufacturing in an industrial environment for prototypes and large parts, or an ISO 8 cleanroom for the medical, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. All processes are validated under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 with full traceability and testing for hardness, tensile strength, and accelerated aging.
