Silicone parts by LSR injection
We manufacture technical parts by LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) injection: A/B two-component compound with platinum cure, fully automated. Production in an ISO 8 cleanroom for medical, food and optical grades, or in a controlled industrial environment for the industrial grade. Microcomponents and parts up to several kilos with micrometric tolerances.
100 % platinum cure, free of by-products. Sterilisable by autoclave, steam or gamma radiation depending on the formulation.
A/B two-component with platinum cure: curing in the closed mould, with no post-curing and no volatile by-products.
LSR injection moulding starts from an A/B two-component compound — platinum catalyst and polymer carrier — that is dosed and mixed automatically and injected into closed moulds at high pressure. Curing takes place inside the mould at controlled temperature, with no by-products and no mandatory post-curing. The result is a finished part with micrometric tolerances, complex 3D geometry and batch-to-batch repeatability.

LSR injection vs HCR injection — quick comparison
Both processes produce technical silicone parts, but they start from different compounds and cover different geometries and applications. The table guides the selection by geometry, hardness, regulations and volume.
| Property | LSR injection | HCR injection |
|---|---|---|
| Compound state | Two-component liquid A/B | High-consistency solid |
| Catalysis | Platinum only | Platinum or peroxide |
| Post-curing | Not mandatory | Required for peroxide (4 h / 200 °C) |
| Hardness | 20 to 90 Shore A | 10 to 90 Shore A |
| Catalogue series | Separate category · 4 grades (medical, food, industrial, optical) | Series 1-33 · 11 mouldable series |
| Optimal geometry | Micro-part · optics · fine 3D geometry | Technical part · variable thickness · broad geometry |
| Typical application | Medical USP VI · food-contact FDA · optics | Technical seals · rail EN 45545 · high temp +300 °C · FVMQ |
| Cleanroom | Italy (Top Tech) + France | France (550 m²) |
| Group capacity | 6 LSR presses (Italy) + 2 LSR presses (France) | Dedicated HCR workshop in France |
| Relative cost | Premium (platinum + automation) | Standard (peroxide) and premium (platinum) by series |
- Indicative comparison between the group's two injection processes. The choice depends on geometry, hardness, required standards and annual project volume.
- To combine the two technologies in a single part (plastic insert + silicone) see plastic-silicone overmoulding, a Top Tech (Italy) speciality on a 2K bi-material press.

Two ISO 8 cleanrooms with 2,050 m² for the medical, food and optical grades
The ISO 8 cleanroom at Top Tech Silicones (Italy, 1,500 m² · ISO 14644-1) houses the fleet of electrically driven 100 % silicone LSR presses, 6-axis robots for automated ejection and a plastic-silicone two-shot press for 2K overmoulding. Quality system with process FMEA, R&R, DOE and IQ/OQ/PQ.
The ISO 8 cleanroom at Progress Silicones (France, 550 m² · ISO 14644-1) integrates the LSR presses of the dedicated workshop alongside extrusion lines and the HCR press. ISO 13485 management system, periodic re-qualification and BMS.
Each batch produced in the cleanroom is supplied with a certificate of conformity, process parameter logs and full raw material traceability to feed the customer's technical file.
