CertificationsFDA (depending on formulation)
Full range–60 °C to +300 °C

The +300 °C figure refers to Series 9 (native formulation). Series 2 and 12 reach +300 °C / +315 °C with HT additive. Consult formulation depending on requirements.

The product

Above +200 °C standard VMQ silicone degrades; Series 9 formulations (+300 °C native) and Series 20 (+270 °C with high tear strength) hold their properties under continuous service.

Standard VMQ silicones (Series 2, Series 12) hold their mechanical properties up to +200 °C under continuous service. Above that temperature, the polymer chain degrades progressively: the tube hardens, loses elasticity, cracks and eventually fails. When the operating temperature exceeds +200 °C, a formulation designed specifically for sustained thermal stability is required.

Thermal post-curing

Nominal thermal stability is reached in the oven, after extrusion

High-temperature formulations use peroxide curing, which leaves volatile residues after vulcanising. Static oven post-curing at controlled temperature and time — specific to each series — removes those residues and stabilises the polymer structure. Without this step, mechanical properties at high temperature degrade prematurely and the tube does not reach its nominal service life.

Each batch is supplied with formulation identification, maximum service temperature and a conformity certificate with full process traceability, including extrusion and post-curing parameters.
